Ruth K. Robbins is a career coach with strengths in career development, transition coaching, job search facilitation, strategic interviewing, expert resume and cover letter preparation. Since 1997 she has been in private practice providing expert career management and exploration assistance, self-assessment tools (Myers-Briggs Personality Type, Strong Interest Inventory, The Seven Stories Exercise), job-search coaching and written communications in support of job search.
She specializes in professionals in career transition including women returning to the workforce, people downsized from their jobs and trailing spouses relocated throughout the country. Ruth has worked with The Five O'Clock Club for more than 15 years and leads a weekly job-search success strategy group.

Ruth's Educational Background
Ruth holds an M.B.A. in marketing from Fordham University and a certificate in Adult Career Planning and Development from N.Y.U. She was M.B.T.I. (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) certified in 1995 and has taken numerous workshops sponsored by American Psychological Type Association. She has conducted resume training seminars and Myers-Briggs workshops at many venues.
Ruth was also engaged at Columbia University Business School as a Per-diem Coach in their Leadership core course, debriefing with students on the results of their 360 assessments. Ms. Robbins has taught career development workshops at the New York Public Library Job Information Center and has spoken on career development issues at the New York Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association, The East End Women's Business Network of Long Island and the 92nd Street Y.
Featured in a Daily News article entitled "A Hire Authority," Ruth has also appeared with Five O'Clock Club founder Kate Wendleton on the Bobby Rivers Show and on the 'On the Job' segment of MSNBC. She has been interviewed recently by Muriel Donnelly on The Professional's Roundtable for Empire Radio Now.
Prior to entering the career field, Ruth directed market research for several textbook publishing companies, including CBS Publications. She also has experience in development and events management for major non-profit organizations. These experiences have added valuable insight to her coaching practice and have helped her understand more thoroughly how to package a client for success.
